Governance Governance is one of our short term bets. And one of the most important aspects of governance is the voting system. We believe it is important to encourage participation, but also to reward those who have been with us for a long time. That is why we are going to opt for a Time-Weighted Voting Power system that rewards those who have been using the token for the longest time. Assigning higher voting power based on staking duration ensures long-standing contributors have a say, regardless of economic power. Hord embraces this mechanism, creating a fairer and more inclusive governance system. Loyalty matters, and with Time-Weighted Voting Power, every member's voice counts. As part of our commitment to community-driven decision-making, we're exploring new ways to allocate resources effectively. We're excited to announce that we are considering utilizing a portion of our marketing budget for governance-related proposals. This approach ensures that our marketing efforts align with the priorities and needs of our community. Furthermore, allowing you to directly impact how Hord is promoted and positioned in the market. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting initiative!

Product development The team is currently working on implementing solutions to reduce gas fees significantly, specifically providing HORD rewards in an EVM chain. We've been testing the move over the past week and a half, and while it's mostly working smoothly, we're finishing correcting some issues that occurred in edge cases, mostly around users who currently hold hETH and would want to re-stake ETH in the future. It's very important for us to make sure our early users are the ones most taken care of, so we need to resolve these before releasing. We understand this delays this upgrade push, but it's crucial we don't release something that will come at the expense of our early adopters.
